I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
