Area Law Enforcement
Around fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.
Law enforcement state they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.
The substance had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Officers then located numerous other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.
Law enforcement report preliminary tests show the liquid was likely blood from a person.
"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; officials are currently not aware of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they stated.
Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the public for tips.
A senior representative said the incident made him without words and required to be resolved quickly.
"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the death of nine people by a shooter focusing on people of immigrant origin in 2020.
